Terry Janocko, co-founder and President of Future Proof Communications, is a telecommunications industry veteran of more than 30 years. He began his career in the industry in 1970 as Communications Consultant for Southern Bell Telephone in Orlando, Florida. Terry was the top salesperson for key systems and PBX sales. For the next 12 years, Terry held Sales Manager, Sales Director and Regional Manager Positions of increasing responsibility with some of the more recognizable names in the telecommunications industry, including Lanier, Executone, OKI Electronics and PCI Telecommunications. During this time, Terry recruited, trained and developed dozens of successful sales professionals and consistently increased annual sales revenue for each of these companies. In 1982, Terry founded a telecommunications consulting and training company (SMI) and built a following of more than 5,000 companies. His training courses, in the form of video, audio and seminar sessions, were customized for the top telecommunications firms nationwide, including Lanier, Inter-Tel, General Dynamics, Executone, ITT, IBM, TIE, Fujitsu, AT&T, and others. In 1987, Terry put his training expertise and industry knowledge to the true test as he took on the responsibilities of President and CEO of Expanets in Honolulu, Hawaii (formerly DigiTel). Over the next 14 years, Terry turned a company that had initial annual losses of $800,000 into one with annual profits of $2.9 million and annual sales revenue of $9.4 million. He merged two companies into a single entity and doubled the revenues while more than tripling the profits. The company was purchased by Expanets in 1998, and Terry remained CEO of the Hawaii business unit. Terry was promoted to Vice President of Sales Operations for Expanets in 2001.Terry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Change from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu.
Chris Younger, a founder and the Managing Member of Future Proof Communications, LLC, is also the Chairman of The Silvercloud Companies, Future Proof's lead investor. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School with more than a decade of experience in executive management, marketing, sales, mergers/acquisitions, and law. Before founding Silvercloud, Chris helped found and was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Expanets, a $700 million company and the nation’s largest and leading provider of converged communications solutions. During his tenure with Expanets, Chris also managed the acquisition of 27 businesses, ranging in size from $2 million to over $1 billion in annual revenues (in total over $400 million in transaction value), and was instrumental as President and COO in helping Expanets complete a significant turnaround during a turbulent time in the communications industry, leading to its acquisition by Avaya for $152 million in late 2003. As part of his involvement in the communications industry, Chris is also the Founding Chairman and a Board Member for the Enterprise Communications Association, an advisory board member for Popular Telephony, a French developer of a groundbreaking peer-to-peer, serverless voice over IP technology, and previously served as a board member for both the Telecommunications Industry Association and the Multimedia Telecommunications Association. Chris has also acted as an advisor to Propellant Fracturing and Stimulation, Inc., an oil services and technology firm in Denver, and has been a featured speaker at TMC's Internet-Telephony Conference, Cisco's Small and Medium-Sized Business Education Seminar, and Bob Callahan's Annual Master's Executive Conference, among others.Prior to his work with Expanets and its parent company, Northwestern Growth Corporation, Chris worked as a corporate and securities attorney with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, a pioneering law firm in Silicon Valley, representing several private and public technology companies. He started his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Jesse E. Eschbach, Senior Judge for the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, where he authored several published opinions. Chris is a summa cum laude graduate of Miami University in Ohio, and was named one of Denver’s “Top 40 Under 40” business leaders by The Denver Business Journal. During his tenure at Harvard, Chris was the Managing Editor for the Harvard Law Review, Volume 106.In his free time, Chris coaches his son's soccer team, spends time with his three children, golfs, mountain bikes and competes in triathlons.
